Who can benefit?Alton.jpg (25245 bytes)

Any Protestant non-conformist Christian minister who is serving or has served in Suffolk can benefit.  It doesn't matter whether you have since moved or are still living in Suffolk.

The immediate family of the minister can also benefit - especially widows, widowers and children.

The help is financial and mainly in the form of a one-off grant which is not repayable, given in response to a particular circumstance. However, in certain cases an annual grant can be made, dependent on income. Annual grants total in the region of £4000 - £5000.

Case studies

The Revd A had a sudden repair bill on his car and could not meet the whole of it from his own resources.  The Society was able to help with a one-off grant.

Mrs B is the widow of a non-conformist minister; she is on a low total income. The Society is able to help her with an annual grant.

Pastor and Mrs C needed to transport their sick child to  their new home by private ambulance.  There was no help available from government or other sources to meet the cost of this.  The Society was able to make a one-off grant towards the cost.
